TO DAYLESFORD, WITH LOVE – the movie

Why has no-one made a movie here before?  It has all the necessary elements:  small close-knit, rural Australian town, colourful characters, mineral springs spurting from potholes, award winning vineyards, Ned Kelly meets Armani lifestyle, kangaroos, day spas on every corner, celebrity locals (Eric Bana, Guy Pearce, Michael Jackson’s songwriter) and Me!  So taking the initiative, I’ve drafted the screenplay.

Character and Casting Notes

Carolyn, early 40’s, witty fashionista with Sophie Dahl figure (pre modeling career), Twiggy haircut and obsession for Prada and Hunter wellies. Moved from a life of couture, champagne cocktails and big business in London to rural Daylesford; quaint, yet slightly eccentric rural spa town in Australia. Her parents, friends, sister and random strangers don’t believe the crazy things that happen to Carolyn so she started writing a diary blog to document her life. Inevitably, a publisher came knocking and before she knew it; the book was due for final submission in 7 days. (Tina Fey: 30 Rock, Date Night)
